The Ultimate Fighters 2 Comes to a Close
Ultimate Fighter 2 comes to a close with a great fight between Rashaad Evans and Brad Imes. What a great fight. Rashaad was my favorite along with Luke Cuumo, who lost in the middle weight final (bogus decision).Rashaad had an unconventional fighting style. At 5'11" and 225 lbs, he took out the 6'7" big man Brad. With the Ultimate FIghter going off the air and College Football winding down, I will go back to watching strictly the news.
But, in the meantime, I had a great weekend watching Rashaad win the UFC and the "U" dominating Marcus Vick and the Hokies!
ps. What is a hokie anyway?

I have to disagree with you about the Cummo/Stevenson decision. It wasn't "bogus" but "tough." Luke obviously lost the first round, I think he won the second, but Stevenson was a little better in the third. It is unfortunate that it had to come down to a decision. I think we will see more of Luke Cummo.
The Evans/Imes fight was a classic. I think Season 2 saved itself with its last couple of fights. TUF2 really got off to a weak start. You going to the open call for TUF3 later this month?
Cummo was undamaged by Stevenson on the ground with the exception of the 1st round. He rocked Joe in round 2. Round 3, Stevenson was in survival mode...totally on defense.
I'll tell you what was totally bogus was the rematches from teh contender where Peter Manfredo totally destroyed Sergio Mora in 9 rounds. Manfredo lost 2 rounds max. Sergio looked like he came out of a meat grinder. And in a split decision it went to Mora. WHAT?!?! I couldn't believe it.
The judging system in boxing is totally corrupt. I forget what the other fights were on that ticket but, 2 out of three of them were bad decisions.
I thought for a second about the open casting calls...purely fantasy. I couldn't run fast enough to survive a round.
Don't steal my lines about running trav!
I could run in the octagon longer than you. Who cares if you said it first?
I think I'd like to see Travis and Phil tangle in the Octagon. My money would be on Trav. If I remember correctly, Phil has a bad wheel.
I know who'd win in the octagon. So, does Phil. I'd like to see you and Phil step into the octagon after your sad commissioneering over there in my formerly dominated FFL.
Phil wouldn't use a submission on you. He'd beat you into a bloody pulp.
Pete, I actually have torn ligaments in both knees since about 2002. In April I tore my right calf muscle and was hospitalized for a week, on crutches for almost 2 months. I started walking just in time for my wedding. Regardless, even if I was in a wheel chair or on a stretcher, I would whoop either one of you.
Phil, you could take Pete. But, I've been beating you up and throwing you in ditches for years.
I would probably have to arm-bar Travis, but I'd knock Phil out. Too slow.
Oh, and on the Fantasy Football note. There are two guys I may not want back next year, so I'd like to have y'all back. Admit it, I was right about the trade. It should have gone through proper channels, but the Nasties are in dead last in my conference. And, Palmer is not only a top 5 Fantasy QB (like I predicted) he is #2!
The point was not whether the points for the players were equal. The point was that the league did not decide if the trade was acceptible the rules stated. Furthermore, you subjected all trades to a vote except that one trade. It was a protest against your crappy commishing.
Re: knocking me out, that's funny. I am war tested. I have been knocked out by an uppercut from my brother, but I was only 10. I got hit by a roofer in 92 after Andrew, but I was only dazed. I still managed to hold him down and then take him to court.
Trav, I know I could take you now. I am too strong for you. You have become weak in your old age.
And you threw me in a ditch because I couldn't even walk.
I'm sitting here in the office with Casey laughing so hard I have a tear in my eye.
Phil, you're still my little bro. I could take you on any day. BUT, I know that if you were in the ring with Pete or anybody else, I'd be in there too. Unfair? Yep. But, its also unfair for to beat up on Zefo all by yourself.
