Sundar says:
Bloody brilliant, the movie was. Top class performance by Ledger. Pity he’s not around to see the accolades he’s going to get.

Arun says:
Tumbler! Tumbler!
Batpod! Batpod!
Posted on July 19th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Marc Z says:
There was absolute silence when Ledger was talking and it was just creepy.
Oh yeah, Arun kept yelling ‘tumbler’ all the way to the theatre.

George says:
Harvey Dent was amazing. I mean, just Harvey Dent itself, even when he wasn’t two-face.
Of course, Ledger stole the movie. I still have that part where he’s in the cop car that’s swerving around, I have that part playing in my head.

Arun says:
That Batpod stuff was sick. I never thought it would have such a great opening. The hall went bananas!
Also I felt the Batman character had very few things to say, like all the good lines were lapped up by Harvey Dent, Commissioner Gordon and The Joker.

Sundar says:
Oh yeah, hanging his head out of the window.
And the way he says Hi, when dressed as a nurse was brilliant too. The subsequent scenes were extraordinary too, only it’d become a spoiler if I were to talk more about that here.

Rachel says:
Selerines
Without watching the movie, how can you call it as ‘Fantastic one’. Think
Posted on July 21st, 2008 at 7:06 pm
Marc Z says:
He is also obsessed with INOX.

bharath says:
film is awsome.but i think two face character is not used well.
Posted on July 21st, 2008 at 11:19 pm
selerines says:
@Rachel : I saw it at one of the local theaters.. I mean that i am planning to watch it at INOX…. What to do? No tickets…
@Marc : May be…

Rachel says:
Why Selerines in INOX you can see the flip side of Batman ( i meant Bruce Wayne ) ah
The movie is the same whether you watch it in INOX or any local theaters you L&Tian

George says:
If you were making flip side jokes wouldn’t Harvey Dent be the natural candidate?
Posted on July 22nd, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Marc Z says:
bharath, yeah they killed him off quickly but he really wasn’t a major villain.
George, no one will get that.
Posted on July 22nd, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Arun says:
Inox hasn’t got the rights to run the movie. Still. Very shocking.
Posted on July 23rd, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Sundar says:
Marc torture pannathe da… Anyone who has seen that film will get that (Anyone who was vaguely interested in the batman franchise for that matter).
Saying ‘No one will get that’ reeks of arrogance. You disappoint me, son.

Marc Z says:
You overestimate the people here. If only you knew the number of people who asked me why I had set my status message as ‘Why So Serious?’
Posted on July 24th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Arun says:
Yeah, all those buggers open the chat with, ‘I’m not serious, you are! LoL.’ When I patiently explain to them what it is, they reply back with, ‘Oh, I thought ‘The Dark Knight’ was a different movie. I never knew it was Batman’s.’
Posted on July 24th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
Sundar says:
I was doing the same. No one asked me. You don’t underestimate people.
Posted on July 24th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Marc Z says:
No one asked you because no one understood it.
Arun, yeah a few people said that to me as well.
Posted on July 24th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
Sundar says:
Well, forget that. Did any of you guys here see that review of Suhasini Maniratnam on Jaya TV on The Dark Knight?
She actually said the film was not gripping, and apparently, it was a little slow moving, and compared to Nolan’s other movies, was a ‘big let-down’.
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 1:31 am
Isha says:
not seen movie yet. will do so soon. missing heath ledger
*bursts out into uncontrollable sobbing* the joker role suited him so well. hoooot!
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 2:54 am
Arun says:
Did Suhasini Maniratnam say that? Oh my God, they are pathetic. She is best suited for reviewing pointless Tamil movies. Or her Uncle Kamal Hassan’s movies.
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 11:50 am
Marc Z says:
Sundar, her opinion does not count. She was in the Tamil movie industry which produces the lowest quality ‘movies’ in the world. What the hell would she know?
Isha, he was damn good yeah.

Arun says:
I saw the review that Sundar was talking about. Here’s what she said in the review. Link
