ifacethoughtsI have read quite some tutorials which show how WordPress can be built using certain frameworks in a couple of days or in a matter of seconds. They are quite good, and I personally believe that it helps to write a blogging engine if you want to learn Web programming. Unfortunately these tutorials also lead some to believe that this is all there is to WordPress and ignore its capabilities which are the differentiators, and in my opinion, makes it suitable for much more than just blogs. Dec 8, 2007For people like me, who were looking out for something to do with OpenID and OAuth, there is something cooking up already - DiSo. Sep 25, 2007WordPress 2.3 is out. The release is significant because it has some heavy changes in the schema, to natively support better taxonomy and tagging. I assume that the inherent support for tagging would also make it faster than through the plugins. [Continue]

Sep 17, 2007One of the big changes in WordPress 2.3 is inherent support for tagging. We have used the excellent Ultimate Tag Warrior (UTW) plugin till today, but tagging seems to have become popular enough for WordPress to support it. Correspondingly, the themes will now have to change to make the appropriate WordPress function call instead of the UTW call to display tags and tag clouds. [Continue]
