Water nourishes and detoxifies the body

It will not be wrong to say that we are made of water because two-thirds of our body contains water. Blood, muscles and bones are all made of water. So it is not surprising that we must keep drinking water to remain alive. We can remain without food for several days but without water we feel tired and exhausted within hours. Water is a wonder drug from nature, whose benefits are many.

Body’s nourishment – Blood is made of 83% water, the brain is made of 74% water, all our muscles are made of 75% water and bones are made of 22% water. The food that we eat is broken down in the stomach and vital nutrients are extracted. These are then transported to all the corners of the body by water. Headaches, migraines, spasms and fatigue are all the symptoms of low water levels in the body. Water also helps to nourish the embryo and fetus in a pregnant woman.

Body’s detoxification – Water is very essential to the proper functioning of the liver and kidneys. These organs function to clean up the system from waste products and toxic substances. Water, as urine, mucus and sweat then effectively transports these substances out of the body. If water is not sufficient, then these substances form kidney stones and other complications. Water also helps to maintain the alkalinity of the digestive system.

Water keeps the skin young – Drinking lots of water maintains the skin moisture levels, otherwise the skin becomes dry and flaky. Water also nourishes the skin with nutrients and keeps it smooth and elastic. It is the not so closely guarded secret of many women who do not seem to age with years. Regular water consumption cleans away the accumulation of fat and helps in maintaining weight.

Despite all these benefits, most of us do not pay attention to our drinking habits. Instead of water, we consume coffee, tea and other drinks rich in caffeine. It is well known that caffeine causes dehydration and we tend to feel thirsty. But instead of choosing water, we drink more caffeine thus creating further dehydration.

Normal human beings require 8 glasses of water everyday. It might vary depending on your age, weight and body size, but not too much. If you engage in athletic activities, your water requirements will be more than normal. No one has ever reported sick because of drinking more water. Always carry a water bottle with you so that you will not drink sodas and other dehydrating fluids.

The truth about residential reverse osmosis systems

Although their popularity has declined over the last years, residential reverse osmosis systems are still one of the alternatives that the average consumer considers when he or she becomes aware of the importance of having clean, healthy water at his or her home.

After studying the pros and cons of these residential reverse osmosis systems, I came to the conclusion that I should advise against them. Below, I will give you the three top reasons to support my decision. I rank them in terms of importance, the first being the least important.

Reason #1: They are very slow in processing water. This drawback is directly related with their principle of operation: Water has to be pushed with high pressure through a porous membrane. Whatever has smaller molecules than the pores (water) passes through the other side, while whatever has larger molecules (pollutants) stays behind. This whole process is slow because of the time it takes for water to pass these very small pores.

Typically, it takes about two to three hours for enough water to pass through the membrane to produce 1 gallon of water. Because of this, residential reverse osmosis systems use storage tanks holding 2 to 5 gallons of water. When drinking water is drawn from the RO faucet, the water comes from the storage tank.

As you realize, this fact puts some restriction on the space you want allocated at your house, as well as on the level of availability of the water you want to have, in order to cover your everyday needs.

Reason #2: To make matters worse, most RO units waste a lot of water. Just to give you an indication, they typically use between 3 to 10 gallons of tap water to produce 1 gallon of purified water; the remainder drains away.

Because of this, you realize that your cost of ownership of the system will increase, as you water bill will go up due to higher water consumption. As this is not enough, you will also have to make an extra provision for the water drainage set up.

Reason #3: And here comes the most important reason which, even if the first two not existed, this alone should be enough to prevent you from purchasing residential reverse osmosis systems. As I already mentioned, operation of this system is based on the difference in the molecular size of water on the one hand and a wide range of pollutants on the other. Now, unfortunately, together with these pollutants the system discards essential minerals that water contains. These are calcium, potassium and magnesium to name a few.

Let me say that you can very easily tell when water lacks minerals, or it is demineralized as the exact term goes. It tastes funny, or better yet, it doesn’t taste at all! It is flat.

But, being tasteless is not the only downside of demineralized water. Scientists agree that if you drink water that is deficient of essential minerals, then you are putting your health in serious danger. Following a thorough and long running study that they conducted, the World Health Organization published in their conclusions that it is imperative that drinking water should contain minimum levels of certain minerals.

Having said all the above about reverse osmosis systems, my advice to you is that you should consider investigating water multi filtration technology instead. To find relevant information and see what I use, visit my website.

There Isn’t Really Drugs In Your Drinking Water Is There?

Is it possible that there are drugs in your drinking water? Surely it’s not possible that when you drink a glass of water you’re drinking drugs? Lets take a look at the possibility that there are drugs in drinking water in the US.

How about we begin with a quote from the Ralph Nader Institute. “U.S. drinking water contains more than 2,100 toxic chemicals that can cause cancer.”

Now what does toxic chemicals mean? Does it mean drugs? Either way it doesn’t matter, it’s scary. But there is plenty of evidence of drugs in our drinking water. Especially antibiotics.

As strange as it may seem there is evidence of drugs in drinking water from 1999 from a West Virginian high school student. Her name is Ashley Mulroy and she decided to do a high school project on contaminated drinking water. She took water samples from the Ohio river and tested for 3 different antibiotics (penicillin, tetracycline and vancomycin). She did this for 10 weeks and found them in all samples.

So she decided to test tap water for antibiotics, and got the same result.

Now why not consider a quote from the Environmental Health Perspectives website. “Roughly 100 pharmaceuticals have now been identified in rivers, lakes, and coastal waters throughout Europe and the United States.”

So lets now take a look at a quote from MSNBCs website. “Traces of 56 human and veterinary pharmaceuticals or their byproducts ” like the active ingredients in medicines for pain, infection, high cholesterol, asthma, epilepsy, mental illness and heart problems ” have been detected in Philadelphias drinking water.”

How about from USA today? “A vast array of pharmaceuticals ” including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones ” have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.”

The municipal water authorities are required to test for and eliminate germs in our drinking water, but they are not required to either test for or eliminate drugs from our drinking water.

Clearly there are drugs found in drinking water in the US, the question is how much, and what risks does this pose to your health if you drink unfiltered water?

And nobody knows, it really isn’t clear.

There is no clear evidence either way, however it seems clear that the presence of drugs in drinking water in the US makes us all a part of a huge experiment on the effects of drinking small quantities of pharmaceuticals over an extended period of time.

You need to protect yourself and your family. Drink pure water to protect yourselves from drinking water contaminated with pharmaceuticals.

Is bottled water clean pure drinking water? No, much of it is no cleaner than tap water and some is tap water.

But there are well recognized ways to purify your drinking water of drugs as well as those other “2100 toxic chemicals” that the Ralph Nader Institute tells us may be in that glass of tap water you’re about to drink now, or to cook with, or shower with.

But only the worlds very best water filters are good enough to remove such hazards as drugs in drinking water, or hormones, or lead, or pesticides, or herbicides or, well I think you get the picture. So get yourself the best water filter that modern technology can produce and be safe from those drugs found in drinking water that you may be using now.

The Money Saving Device Which Converts Water To Gas

Numerous people today would pay a little bit extra for a great saving device which converts water to gas along with other good similar devices most definitely with today’s rise in oil prices which have created quite a stir in some worldwide economies. With that there has, as of late been a definite increase in the amount as well as varieties of gas saving devices that are promoted and sold commercially. While these all have a different way of working their primary objective is quite the same ” to let people save money on gas. As with all devices there are some that will work well and then there are others that will do more harm than good to your car.

One of the most common and safest alternatives for fuel-saving is a Hydrogen Conversion Kit often called water to gas device and works as hydrogen generators. They might have differing names but essentially they are generally the same – HHO conversion kit, Brown’s Gas kit, and water to fuel transition kit, to only name a few and they are the best tools to keep the money in your wallet.

There are several options for the hydrogen generators such as a commercially available pre-made kit or one that can be custom-made, a few can be home made using simple materials plus a good and well-known how-to or do-it-yourself guide. You can create your own hydrogen generator kit for very little money using the simplest of materials very commonly kept in hardware stores as well as DIY shops.

Usually the kits are machines that move the water and converts it into fuel for your vehicle and while you’ll still have to use gas to keep your car moving you can save a lot on fuel, by at least thirty percent. There are people who say they have increased their gas mileage with such kits and to make it better there are a lot of great online guides that will instruct you in such a way to make a hydrogen conversion device and install it in your cars.

To finish up, in today’s market there are lots of different types of tools and devices that can conserve gasoline, other than water to gas kits. Fuel line devices are one of these, vapor and air bleed apparatus, which focuses mostly with lowering fuel through the introduction of air to assist the fuel distribution or maximize fuel consumption, lower carbon and unburned fuel emissions.

Lastly, there are several other types of gasoline conserving tools and devices out there other than water to gas kits. Among them are fuel line devices, vapor and air bleed devices, which focus mostly in the area of reducing fuel consumption by introducing air to help the fuel distribution or make fuel use of fuel consumption ,lower carbon as well as unburned fuel emissions.

On a final note, please thoroughly research the ups and downs of installing one of these devices in your car, although hydrogen conversion kits are a good alternative considering their price and also they will not physically damage your vehicle and can be easily removed if necessary.

Finally, make sure you do the research on these devices and products before you intall them to your vehicle, as there are many pros and cons to consider, though hydrogen conversion kits are the best alternatives when you take their price into account seeing as how they don’t damage your vehicle plus they are fully reversible.
