Hi
I did this successfully the other day. I pasted the following code:

For a button into my blog page. I tried to aler it's position by
cutting and repasting. Now it won't save anywhere, even if I try to
paste it back where it was originally. It doesn't save or show.
Please help.

First thing I notice is that you have an unneeded space right
after .com in your img src code. It would never be clickable until
the space is removed.
