This reminds me of a story...

A friend of mine had a serious drinking problems for several years. One night, his brother received a call that he was in jail for DUI. The brother grabs enough cash to bail him out (this was before they had to be held so many hours until the next morning) but decided that he was going to try and argue with the police about whether he was actually drunk or not. When he gets to the jail, he asks "how do you know he was driving drunk." The jailer giggled and read him the police report - "When asked why he was driving while drinking, he responded "Because I was too drunk to walk.""

On topic: I'm that kind of drunk, who doesn't ever stop to contemplate (even drunkenly) what he's doing. Also I keep rope on me for any emergency tow situations.
