Although the administrators and moderators of Brighthand will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Brighthand, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The owners of Brighthand reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
General Rules
While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsense posts and such. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed. Cross posting, the act of posting the same thing across multiple forums, is not allowed. Please post once in the most appropriate forum. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private Message system to spam other members. Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts; 24 hours is recommended. We also do not allow posts that are sexually harassing in nature or violate Brighthand.com community standards. The Brighthand.com team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed. There is a zero tolerance policy for illegal activity being discussed. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way. Foul language isn't necessary to discuss PDAs and help people, so it won't be tolerated. Any attempt to bypass bad language filters will result in an infraction against the user and that post being edited or removed.
Any threads/posts of these above types will be deleted.
We reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules. Bans will not necessarily be permanent, but enacted based on the seriousness of an offense to these rules.
Advertising Services
Product advertisements are best dealt with by contacting info @ brighthand. com. Legitimate products that meet the criteria of being related to Smartphones and PDAs, may have a single post in the Announcements forum. Posts failing to meet this criteria will be removed without notice, and repeated offenses will result in a ban.
Links in Signatures
Links in signatures must follow these guidelines:
You may provide a link to a commercial product related to Smartphones and PDAs in your signature if you notate that you either recommend the product, or that you are affiliated with the product.
Links found to be unrelated to Smartphones and PDAs may be removed without notice.
Links found to be harmful in nature, including trolling, may result in an immediate ban. This is the decision of the Administrators and Moderators.
Signature Size Limits
Keep your signature reasonable. Your signature shouldn't be longer than a standard 5 to 6 line post. If the Administrators or Moderators feel your signature is too long, it may be modified without notice. Repeated modifications to create a long signature may result in a formal infraction against you.
Buy/Sell/Trade Forum
Due to recent concerns over the use of Brighthand's Buy/Sell/Trade forum as an eBay substitute, and to reduce the risk of scams and deadbeat sellers, we have updated B/S/T forum use policies. Detailed requirements on the usage of this part of our forums can be found following this link.
Off Topic Forum
The Off Topic forum is where Brighthand.com members can gather to chat about almost anything, technical or non-technical in nature. If you have a question that doesn't fit into any other forum, or just want to chat, this is the place. That being said, please don't post about senseless or highly controversial topics.
