So there are tons of new tv shows on this fall.
Anything you are excited about?
This week Privilaged and Fringe premiered. I recorded both. Really liked Privilaged - it could actually become a worthy successor to Gilmore Girls or Veronica Mars. The few promos I saw for it were aimed for the Gossip Girl fans, but its actually kind of snarky with some humor and a whole lot of heart mixed in. I really enjoyed it.
Fringe, on the other hand, I still haven’t watched. For some reason I could not sit still each time I turned it on. I’m going to try one more time to watch the pilot and if I can’t get through it then forget about it.
Other new shows I’m looking forward to checking out:
The Mentalist - A more subdued version of Psych - if it didn’t star Simon Baker I probably wouldn’t even give it a chance.
Knight Rider - I was apparently one of the few who enjoyed the movie last spring - so I’m going to give it a chance.
Life on Mars - Based off a Brit show (that I have not watched) - I’m going to give this one a shot. But only one. I’m still bitter over the cancellation of Journeyman.
My Own Worst Enemy - Any teenager of the 90’s has to at least check out a Christian Slater tv show. Its pretty much required ![]()
What about you? What new shows are you looking forward to? Returning favorites?

no new shows here (although since you equated the privileged with gilmore girls, i might reconsider… or i might just watch my gilmore girls dvds ) since we are trying to decrease our nightly tv watching. our old faithfuls right now are prison break, heroes, 24 (not till jan), and anything to do with chef ramsey. and i think we’re skipping survivor this year. wow that’s our shortest list ever… oh wait, i forgot about LOST!

I’m watching Priveledged just because of JoAnna Garcia (watched her on Reba.) And I have to give 90210 some views just because. And I think I am getting hooked. I’m going to try the rerun of Fringe since a friend raved about it.
Returning shows? New episodes of Chuck and Pushing Daisies can’t get here fast enough.

Dana - I’ll let you know what I think about Privileged after the second episode - it _could_ become a successor but we shall see.
Mark - I did the same thing and watched 90210 just because. I really never watched the show when it was on, but I always knew what was happenening, so its fun to see some of the characters “all grown up” I’m also a huge fan of Rob Estes and Lori Laughlin - its weird seeing them playing the parents of teenagers!

I watched the pilot of Fringe with my brother-in-law. I’m not sure whether I would have had the patience to watch it without someone else who was into it. It was weird but interesting, and shows a good bit of potential for a series.

Okay, based on episode two of Fringe, yeah, it’ll be worth watching! The pilot was kinda slow though…
