When I plopped this little guy down on my black sweater for my exclusive photo shoot, he landed on his back. Apparently, playing dead is a good defensive posture?

Anyhow, he just lay there. I waited for him to get up, wave his snout around, and start walking. I waited soe more. Apparently, he was into the whole "method" acting thing. Really into it.

So, I shot him.

Turned into the only in-focus shot of the whole buggy session.

PS (08/27/2007): This is, according to Wikipedia, a weevil, more specifically, an acorn weevil.
