You can tell it’s Friday, the news dump has two more banks failing…
First Heritage of Newport Beach, California, had three branches with customers comprised mostly of corporations, while First National of Reno, Nevada, had 25 branches.
That I did, the Kurds are pissed that the GZG want to nationalize all Oil and nullify the Kurds separate deals with an Austrian co. and a South Korean co., basically, Big Oil has issues with the side deals cutting them outta the loop …
Bushco a la Negroponte and other dark ones will get very very nasty if they don’t get their oil deals signed before jan 20th.
Greg Palast’s Armed Madhouse posits that while the Iraq war was in fact about oil, it was not in the manner normally assumed. That is, that what they wanted was not the oil, per se, but *control* over the oil supply. Fuck with the market - turn the spigots on or off as needed in order to make HUGE money.
Well that makes sense.. so far, but their (big oils) insistence on what, over 80 percent of the gross revenue on down the line suggests they want a lot of double dipping control.
ok, pups, that’s it for me. just a week left to get everything boxed up before the pod gets delivered. g’nite and be sure to make the lurkster earn his pecans and chocolate.
Badger, you and aswat are my top three M.E. related clicks. Must say I am watching the news about Pakistan more and more the past few months… it ain’t purty.
We have been having a ton of trouble with robberies. Our lawnmower and a bike was stolen several weeks ago. Four days ago the neighbor’s house about five doors down was ransacked in the middle of the day. But yesterday, a neighbor killed himself and other people broke into the house and robbed it while the guy lay dead on the floor. This was about a block and half from me. I didn’t know the man but it sure is creepy and heartless.
gahd, mary!
I know RC, used to live there. But I don’t recall it being a crime-ridden mess. Is RC incorporated yet? Do you have your own cops, or are you still unincorporated Sacramento?
I’m assuming that the police are around now…
And that’s Marc O’Connor on fiddle, a triple threat monster and hero on git, mando and fiddle for 30 years now.
Not sure who the other pickers are . . . but this is grass/country crossover at its best, with the best in the biz. On a classic tune. Damn. Wish I was at THAT camp jam! *G*
RC became a city about five years ago. Apparently, during the previous downturn in the economy the same kinds of things happened.
We have been here for six years and are just starting to really feel part of the community. It took me a long time to adjust to not being able to get back to the bay area. But now I am feeling a tad uncomfortable.
We have some methheads living near by.
Ron said his sister told him that people are stealing lawn furniture and ornaments in her little town in Illinois. It is happening everywhere.
I think they have ruled out murder. From the way people have been talking about it they are referring to neighbors who stole the man’s stuff. We live in a average suburban place but it borders some iffy parts of the county.
This is the second week actually. It is going really well. I have designed three sites. I did get a computer virus that I may have passed along to a client or too. I am enjoying talking with the clients.
It’s the Economy Stupid! Thanks George and the Rethuglians….. they have really screwed the pooch this time. And the top 1% are reaping 22% of the gross income from the GDP and their taxes are the least in 18yrs lets keep them taxes low and the rethugs want to lower them even more…. they hate Gov and they want to starve it into submission. And who pays the bills??? Thats right you and me in the middle…. do do do do 29 all over again. GOT GOLD??
And the shit hasn’t really hit the fan yet. I worry about my parents. They moved to Picayune, MS after Katrina. If things get really hairy they would be so easy to pick off. They are in their 80’s
I don’t know.. small towns will probably be better in terms of safety. I live way out in the boonies, very safe, til it’s not. Then it’s just me and my 2nd amendment.
My kin in the northern part of the state (Panola County) are getting up there, too. And according to a trusted source, casinos and business parks have invaded the area (which used to be farm country) and mini-burbs are springing up all over.
If it’s not an ice storm or a drought…
Aloha, ES!
Hi, ES!

I am still laughing…)
Did you see this?
Bushco a la Negroponte and other dark ones will get very very nasty if they don’t get their oil deals signed before jan 20th.
egg-cellent!
This only adds to the nightmare…
KBR has said it’s not found a link between electrical work it did and the electrocutions, which the Pentagon said date back to 2003.
F*ckers won’t even admit it…! 8-(
trying to think zen like calming thoughts before my head explodes
judas forking priest ct i think this is just the tip of the iceberg
Is now a good time to ask if that story about John Edwards is true ?

Btw, ES, Aswat Aliraq is one of the first sites I read every day to see what’s up in Iraq…! ;-)
dayammit jayt, get outta my head! you are playing all my favorites tonight!!!
heh-heh.
Me too.. So tell me a little about, abu muqawama. WHo runs that site?
“it didâ€
prolly the magic words..
Now if they said “were responsible for†might be different…. nah, that could be parsed too. They don’t do responsibility.
Well, the namesake has taken a sabbatical, but, Kip, Charlie, Londonstani are top notch in most of their posts. However, Badger is da bomb…
Liberty calls!
Oops, I left out Dr. Irack from the list of posters at AM… I sometimes have issues with David Lynch’s Abu Aardvark…
Take a message. /s

I’m flattered… You’re right, Pakistan is getting uglier by the day it seems…! 8-(

Glad you liked it amigo.
Our lawnmower and a bike
waswere stolen several weeks ago. That is truly F*cked up, Mary!
How do folks know the robbery occurred after the guy died?
Nite Suz give Token a treat (and not a bisket)
Good question. Maybe they stepped in the blood. Yuk.

NIce! I ran the table a bit . . .
Saw her for MY first time, and my honey’s, at the Spring DrizzleBerry Fest, ‘08.
She did it all, in the rain, and made 4,000 folks happy (some in rain gear, some under brolly’s, some under a small tarp, where we were).
Never thought I’d ever get to see her live . . . and then, magic. My honey, loves her music too.
And what, Emmy, Dolly, Linda? DANG! *G*

Hi mary, what an awful thing to have happen in your nabe! Must be just very very upsetting. Hope folks are talking to each other a lot.
Can’t help wondering at that coincidence though, break-in & suicide both being so very rare. Have the police ruled out burglary-murder?

creepy indeed..
So, how is the job looking after the first week?
Mary, yer in Rancho Cordova?
We are in Howe About Arden, cave dwelling.
I have NOTHING good to say about the spread of crime, and the ability of the regional forces to fight it.
Not the Sherriff’s, not the CHP, not any local enforcement agencies, of which there are few.
One block to another, there’s rich housing, and then, crack dens.
And Rancho Cordova, is NOT as safe as Arden Area . . .
You got my best wishes . . . be well . . .
Cuz we is close to each other, if you ever DO need help, me and mine would be here for ya.

Anytime.
Thass what it’s all about . . .

Boy oh boy.. the eighties sure did do some awful stuff to women in re hair and makeup..
Emmy Lou looks a whole lot better these days..and she’s always been beautiful.
I was just thinking she tours more than any other female artist I can think of.
And the shit hasn’t really hit the fan yet. I worry about my parents. They moved to Picayune, MS after Katrina. If things get really hairy they would be so easy to pick off. They are in their 80’s
And the departing head of Citibank is leaving with a $34 Mil. Golden parachute…! 8-(
What the fuck fuck fuck? (a quote from Eddie Izzard)
I don’t know.. small towns will probably be better in terms of safety. I live way out in the boonies, very safe, til it’s not. Then it’s just me and my 2nd amendment.
I stand corrected… It is $42.6 Mil…

If it’s not an ice storm or a drought…
I was thinking about getting me a 2nd amendment and learning how to use it.
Woo-Hoo, John Edwards is on PBS’s Now…!
