[edit] Design Studio Based Course (DSBC), a new platform for e-learning

E-learning or electronic learning is a time and location free environment. In the past, e-learning was limited to non-studio based courses and a little attention has been given to such an interface in e-learning. We explored the DSBC related to revolutionize e-learning method. Following introducing of a primitive or prototype model, an interactive interface was developed and completed by the research team at SIAT/SFU. In the first step, it showed that four tools of; Multimedia, Interactive Intelligent Images, Database Library, and a Video Conferencing System in a customized parallel interface, are essential. The interface would facilitate a reasonable and progressive learning performance would possess the most important impact on the e-learning environment. Enhancing the Design Studio Based Course system will improve the users' design knowledge, ability, outcomes and quality in adoption of such an e-learning interface. A positive attitude in the system is introduced in which the effectiveness of the interface leads to its greater adoption by the students and increases the probability of successful results comparing with the conventional operation of the studio courses. --H.
