I performed some copy editing on this article. I placed the "citations missing" and "unreferenced" templates as well. Here is a summary of the major edits:

The paragraph about Google AdSense was written in the past tense. At the time of this edit, AdSense is still in existence. The verbs have been changed to present tense.

- Thanks for the help. I've looked for sources before but a google search is drowned in a series of promos by contextual ad companies, news stories about a very narrow part of the field, people who are setting themselves up as experts or consultants, etc. So I haven't found any great third party reliable sources. A few I did find that may or may not be above the threshold for reliability and spamming:
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-contextual-advertising.htm http://www.streetdirectory.com/travel_guide/10984/adsense_tips/contextual_advertising_is_it_right_for_you.html http://www.pcmag.com/encyclopedia_term/0,2542,t=contextual+marketing&i=56351,00.asp http://hbswk.hbs.edu/archive/2124.html http://dictionary.zdnet.com/definition/contextual+marketing.html
- Thanks for the links. I incorporated the PC Magazine ref into an actual citation. All of the others (except for the ZDNet reference that basically gives the same info as the PC Magazine source) have been added to the reference section. I left some of the other statements in the article as "citation needed" via the {{fact}} template. Gmazeroff (talk) 17:55, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
