So, why is this page up for Speedy Deletion? I can see tagging it as a stub, but deletion doesn't seem called for. 1997 is signed to a semi-major label (Tragic Hero Records) which has put out some noteworthy bands (Hawthorne Heights, Atreyu), so there's little chance of them just fading out. I'd say that it's pretty significant and is hardly worthy of deletion. 69.250.67.28 00:50, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
WP:MUSIC sets out 12 criteria for notability and there's nothing in the article that asserts the band meets any of those, or is significant or important in any other way. There may well be other possible reasons why a band might be notable, but being signed to a label isn't one in itself. This is just my understanding of the criteria a band should meet. If there is any prospect of more info being added to the article that will assert importance then perhaps it could be stubbed for now, but I don't think the article as it stands asserts importance. - Just a note, the band isn't signed to Tragic Hero; it's signed to Victory Records. Chubbles 23:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] linkfarm?
Is it really necessary to have links to TEN album reviews? It seems excessive to the point of being spam. Murderbike 03:54, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I put those in there to keep the band from being deleted for lack of notability. It's a linkfarm, but it establishes that the band is getting major nationwide exposure. If they chart or something we can remove them. Chubbles 04:50, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
