DP: St. Paul, Minnesota, my home away from home, I get there so often. Hello, Jim, Dennis Prager.  

Jim: Hello, Dennis. You’re famous and significant.  

DP: I am? Oh, that’s a very sweet comment. I’ll explain that to people. I have said…did you hear me when I spoke a couple of weeks ago? Because I mentioned it then. But you heard it on the radio, yeah?  

Jim: I’ve this to you before. 

DP: I’m sorry? 

Jim: I’ve said it to you before.  

DP: Yeah, thank you. I’ll explain it to people in a nutshell. And I’m not agreeing with him, or disagreeing, but what he’s based it on is my comment that people should know that overwhelmingly, the famous are not significant, and the significant are not famous. And we have confused the two to our peril. Okay, go ahead, Jim. 

Jim: Well, sir, I wanted to tell you about my six year old daughter, Renee, brought me your movie, For Goodness Sake, and asked me what it was. And I said well, let’s watch it. And my ten year old was riveted by it, and loved every minute, laughed at exactly the right times. And the next day,  I picked her up at school, and it was a beautiful day,  which is rare here, and she was inside the school and all the other kids were outside. And I asked her, well, why weren’t you outside? And she said because I was good today, Daddy. And I said well, what do you mean by that. And she said all those other kids gossip, and I don’t want to do that anymore.  

DP: Wow. 

Jim: (laughing) 

DP: Wow, what an advertisement for the power of that film. So you had bought it some years ago? Is that it? 

Jim: That’s correct. And my daughter… 

DP: And your kids found it? Your kids found it?  

Jim: My ten year old, Rachel, just loved it. In fact, we watched it again last night.  

DP: Well, thank you for telling me. That means…let me tell everybody about this for a moment. Allen and I, that’s how we met. Allen and I met when dear Rich Markey, a good friend of both of ours, brought us together to…he and others and I, we wrote, though he was primarily responsible, and wrote this based on my ideas, wrote a video, a film, directly by David Zucker of Naked Gun and so many…and Scary Movie, and so many other hilarious films. And some of the best known actors and actresses in Hollywood volunteered their time, and we made an epic film on goodness, hilarious, absolutely hilarious. And it…I just got from Rich Markey an e-mail about who has used this film – police departments around the country, the government of Kuwait. I mean, I could not believe who was on the list. And folks, I promise you, I promise you, it’ll influence your kids to want a little more. I’m not saying it’s going to turn their lives around, but I promise it will have some influence like it did with this man’s child towards goodness.
