Very Early Release: Password Monkey

Thought I’d show a very early version of a program I’ve been working on. There’s not really much point to it except it was a learning project for me in C++ and I’m always forgetting the passwords to my websites, so now I can just quickly run this and find out.

It’s basically a password recovery program for some ftp programs. It lists the program then account info like server, username and password.

It currently supports FileZilla and FlashFXP and I plan to add more FTP programs in the future.

I haven’t got a logo or anything for it yet, somewhen I’ll get around to getting a comedy one made with a Monkey and a padlock or something :P

Hmm, I have FlashFXP and quite a few accounts in sites.dat, but it doesn’t show any of those. How does it search for FlashFXP installations?

I read the Install Path from ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FlashFXP\3′ Maybe I shouldn’t go as deep as the 3 as I guess that’s the version.

What version are you using?

Running 3.4.0.1145

I don’t have FlasFXP under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\, do have one under CURRENT_USER, but the only key there is “ControlSet”.

But now that i think about it… i guess i just copied the FlasFXP folder from my laptop when in installed this comp. Guess i’ll install it properly some day :p
