LISTEN: Radio Ads Set the Record Straight on Big Oil

Holding The Grand Oil Party Accountable

The DCCC Independent Expenditure (IE) has launched radio ads across the country responding to Freedom's Watch latest bogus claims. Freedom's Watch has put more deceptive radio ads on the air as part of the shady, soft money group's plan to try to defeat Democratic congressional candidates.

Freedom's Watch is operating as the cash-strapped NRCC's de facto independent expenditure campaign. The organization has close ties to President George Bush and Senator John McCain and is funded, staffed, and guided by a "who's who" of Republican operatives known for their win-at-all-cost tactics, including Karl Rove.  Learn more abour Freedom's Watch at our new website -- TheRealFreedomsWatch.com

The DCCC IE started running radio ads on Friday in 10 House districts where Freedom's Watch has misleading ads on the air:

Idaho's 1st District

Louisiana's 6th District

Michigan's 7th District

Missouri's 6th District

New Hampshire's 1st District

New Mexico's 1st District

New York's 29th District

Could not play the radio ads. The media player timeline showed that something was playing, but no sound came out.

keep it up!  How about something about McCain’s philandering or HIS elitist life style.."this Bud’s NOT for you.” Last night during the Olympics there was a Budweiser ad with a McCain-like figure coming out of the shadows leading a dark horse to victory to the theme from Rocky. Where is all that footage of McCain saying how he supports Bush- over and over? Or Ron Suskind’s book’s revelation about the falsified letters on yellow cake and WMD followed by McCain’s praise for “our president.” What about the truth about the respective tax plans. Go for it.  Don’t hold back. Short and to the quick.

The ads load but don’t play.

Keep it up. Why not make it shorter and more direct.
If you can be sure something is a lie, why don’t you use he word “LIE” more often. Perhaps referring the listener to a specific broadcast or website which proofs it?  Don’t be chicken. Expose the LIERS. We can not afford an other “Swift Boat”. (Which is still working with some stupid people who vote.)

All ads are blank.  Are they being blocked?  Couldn’t hear a-one.

Republican are pirates.  They look better.  Smell better.  Read & write well.  They are educated, and well spoken.  But, they have a certain perspective on, and a love of, this life, that brings the smile to a pirate’s face, only.  They have been with us from the new world origin, that became the thirteen colonies, and eventually, the United States of America.
P I R A T E B E H A V I O R S :
1 ) Take the low road.  Let gravity do the work.
2 ) Accuse your opponent of the thing that YOU, YOURSELF, are actually doing.  As soon as the public gets a whiff, an intuitive sense, accuse the opposition of this foul & heinous odor tendril.  LOUDLY.  In the ensuing smoke and confusion, innocent people will be hurt, and the pirates will dance in the poor visibility like they always do.
3 ) Lie.  As much as you can.  About anybody in range, including yourself.  Just as long as the inflection leads AWAY from you.  ( More smoke, more dancing ) .
4 ) Spend the money.  Do not expect usable mayhem to drop into your lap.  Buy bad people to do bad things.  Disruption and sabotage to the opposition’s organization.  Character assassination.  Trumpet the opposition’s flaws to the high heavens, no matter how lame the disclosed may be, This is free dirt.  Ruuunnnn with it !
5 ) Keep your eye on the prize.  CONTROL, of the majority of a population’s power and money.  You must take and hold, the icons of command and control, both public and private.
6 ) Gangplank maintenance.  Really.  This costs money.  To h_ll with it!  Kick them off of the ship’s top side rail, if you have to, and guard the rum barrel at all cost.

IMHO, Some ads impacted better than others. My preferences were PA’s 10th, NY 29th’s, then Michigan’s 7th. Michigan’s 6th was OK. PA10 definitely had the best bite and the Dem’s MUST bite in order to degrade all the negative ads, lies, and misconceptions put out by the nasty as usual Repub campaigns.

(No problem hearing any of the ads)

DCCC/IE,

Mississippi 6th, New Hampshire 1st, New Mexico 1st, New York 29th, Ohio 15th & 16th, Pennsylvania 10th.  Great!  Super!  Loved ‘em!  Go Team Go!
Idaho 1st:  Too much opponent.  Too little candidate.  Confusing, (poorly spoken).  NO IMPACT.
Louisiana 6th:  Glib.  Confusing.  Insubstantial.
Michigan 7th:  Too much opponent.  Too little candidate.  Confusing, (poorly spoken).  NO IMPACT.
