House Season 2 Review

Foreman: “His right testicle is almost twice as big as his left.”
House: “Cool.”
Only a couple of weeks ago, Smallville and House were my only 2 favorite TV series. After Smallville Season 5 marathon, I subsequently bought PRISON BREAK. It immediately became my favorite series of the 3 (including House). I shall not share any spoilers as I know that some of you are sacredly following Season 2 on ASTRO, the slowest pay-TV in Asia. If not for LIVE football, I would’ve ditched ASTRO. Anyway, House Season 2 is broadly better than the first season, with a couple of ho-hum episodes. The season finale is an anti-climax, somehow they hijacked the scriptwriters from that foul series LOST who then got discombobulated about what to write. Bad.
All of the characters mature in Season 2, which hopefully Season 3 (when I get my hands on it) reposes on. I know that I can easily download them, but I’d rather wait for the DVDs and do marathons.
All-in-all, House Season 2 gets a reputable 7/10. Second only to Smallville Season 5 (8/10) and Prison Break Season 1 (9/10). I’m already counting the days when I could start watching Michael Scofield in action again. PRISON BREAK deserves an Emmy, and not that pudding head stinking show called 24. Jack Bauer sucks. The first season was okay, and now its in it’s 6th season? I’m hoping when 24 goes into its 7th season, lightning strikes and kills Jack Bauer. Remember the sabbath! Rotten series indeed. I wouldn’t be surprised if I peeved somebody off enough so they could yammer away by commenting on why 24 is a good. Humour me. :-P

-_-” now not just the different songs but different tv series. But I heard my aussie friends say House is good. I didn’t hv the time to watch in Astro, all occupied by adik watching her grandmother grandfather Taiwanese long winded story.
As simple as that, Chinese who are not English educated like watching more of their own shows than any English speaking TV series. They feel more attached/ belong to their own culture and people by tuning into the Chinese chanels. But to those Chinese who doesn’t understand or well-versed in Mandarin or Cantonese will switch to English speaking series/ shoes, that, language barries mah.
Is good that I sapu semua series, I watch all from Taiwanese, Japanese, Hong Kong, Korean, Malay (rarely), Western, Malaysian (occasionally) with exception of the one like dancing behind the trees.

stepping on dangerous ground here…24 is so good i’m gonna tell u why.
He won a goddamn Emmy for it….cmon..he’s good. 24 is the only series that you WONT wait painstakingly watching ASTRO because the suspence and curiousity could kill u. An it has intelligent plot! Unlike the predictable smallville plot. cmon, we have already seen so many superman movies…like smallville is gonna kill off any curiousities anymore. Jack’s a real man, and this smallville fella is a wimp!
1. Smallville- is the kind of series that you watch while having dinner / or doing your homework because it’s wimpass and slow and predictable- that superman wannabe hasn’t even got reallllll muscles….superman indeed!
2. House- that guy irritates me. Period
3. 24- look at it this way, You don’t watch 24 and yet u know who Jack Bauer is.

endroo G Nothing worth watching on the idiot box these days, that’s why I switched to DVDs.
tihtahpah Hahahahahaha! I knew it, I knew it would upset you! 24 sucks, only season 1 was okay. I like Kiefer Sutherland, but I think this series is 6 seasons too far.
You don’t know what you’re missing with House.
Jemima Isn’t that a depressing series? LOL. Have a great weekend too!
Mo Yup, she loves the anorexic Jennifer Garner!

Wait till you get married. The only series you’re be able to follow are stuff like Desparate Housewives… and Judging Amy.
I wish I had your liberties, my friend…

Btw, do you watch Nip/Tuck? I love the series. Available in DVD – 3 complete seasons now.

Keropok Thanks for the heads up. I’ll delay it for as long as I can, and then buy me a datukship, and marry a 21 year old bombshell when I’m 45.
Jemima Life has its ups and downs. I’m afraid of watching Nip/Tuck as I don’t wanna get hooked on yet another series…hmmm..shall give it a try though…I keep forgetting that Amazing Race 10 is on Mondays….dang it..

hahaha..DAMMIT…i hate Jennifer Garner…! Alias and Angel and Charmed..all that kinda crap. Somehow, women protrayed as heroes are bit far-fetched….like My Super Ex-Gf…Kill Bill was at least quite believable…

Mr D You’re not helping. I’m trying to do my part for piracy by buying the DVDs when it comes out.
tihtahpah Ya ya, for all we know, you’re counting the days for halloween so you could put on your Alias outfit. LOL. I enjoyed Kill Bill, though part 2 was kinda ho-hum. I loved that quote by David Carradine re: Superman.

i was a late comer to the House bandwagon. only caught on the series somewhere in the middle of season 1 methink.
“ASTRO, the slowest pay-TV in Asia.”
How so very true. I remember the time they kept on screening Friend’s past seasons over and over and over and over again. The vcd for new season came out much faster!

Hey what about Grey’s Anatomy ? I like that series.
House is not really my cup of tea. (too bad) Sure I like Dr. House but not to that extreme.

Larawannabe Better late than never.
ASTRO is annoying, apparently it’s dirt cheap buy the rights to show old seasons. They gotta buck up because they’re being slaughtered by 8TV.
Che-Cheh Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t stir up my interest at all.
Lex House is brilliant. Never have I enjoyed a medical series this much.

I love House!!! I think that guy is pure genius.
Im not sure if I would have him as my doctor…genius but nasty.

Ness I wouldn’t mind him as my doctor. Brutal truth and sarcasm that pushes the boundaries of sanity. MUCH better than a really pleasant doctor who’s lost.

Speaking of doctors and lost…the doctor on that show ‘Lost’ is quite good looking.
I wouldnt mind having HIM as my doctor. He can treat me anytime
Lol.

I don’t know why, somehow I found season 1 of House to be better than season 2. My feeling is the they sort of ran out of ideas for scripts in season 2 and start coming up with plots like Foreman being House’s boss for a month and House still pining for his ex-wife and all that. I missed the good diagnosis plots of season one.
You are right about 24. You can only work this type of show for 2 seasons. Anything more it becomes BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Likewise for Lost. These are the two shows that I do not enjoy the ending of each episode. They made me angry instead of looking forward to the episode next week.
Numb3rs used to be okay with me but latest season on Astro is getting stale. And now they shifted the time to 11pm? That’s ridiculous.
These are the shows that I still follow on Astro, in decending order : CSI-Miami, House, CSI-LV, CSI-NY, Numb3rs. I gave up on Lost, 24, and most reality shows long ago.

Well, true, I guess House Season 2 tries to woo a bigger audience. Still, I love the show. I dislike Numb3rs, hate Lost and 24. I definitely think CSI Miami’s the best of the 3.
