Christian Blogosphere

But I think I'll continue this blogroll unless everyone decides to dump it :-) They do have a back load so you might have to wait awhile to be accepted.

We know have over 80 blogs on the blogroll. We are slowly growing and I hope that we will make 100 by the end of the month. You could help this along by mentioning the blogroll every once in awhile and you could also promote the blogroll by putting the network headline feed on your blog.

And we have 48 blogs in the Feedburner network! With a subscription count that is close to 1,000. A way for us to increase the subscription total would be to optimize the use of your Feedburner feeds. Encourage your readers to subscribe to the Feedburner feed. One way to help this along is to put chicklets on a prominent place on the sidebar (you can find them under publicize tab). Another is to make the Feedburner feed the default feed for your blog. Here's an article that walks you through the process to do that. It's really easy to do and worth the effort.

Woohoo! That's not too bad for the first month. Please remember to advertize the blogroll so that we can double that this month. Also, if you can, put the network feed headlines on your blog. If people see the headlines on your blog, they may be tempted to join so that their headlines can be on your blog. Make sure you advertise the network headlines as well, so that they see it and want to be on it :-)

Updated: I'm back! Email me and I'll send you the code for the blog as quick as possible. I'm trying to add as many people as I can before I return to seminary in the Feb. :-)

If I get a chance during breaks, I'll try to get to some of my email. I certainly don't want to be overwhelmed by it when I'm done with classes :-)

Since the Christian Bloggers blogroll is no longer taking new members I decided to start a blogroll so that those who wanted to associate with other Christians would be able to do so. This blogroll is open to Christians of all denominations.

Requirements to be on the blogroll:

1. Agreement with the Apostle's Creed and these statements. Update: I thought that it would be obvious from the statement of faith I referenced that this was a Protestant blogroll. I apologize for the confusion. This implies absolutely nothing about anyone's status before God. I decided to limit it to make it easier and spare myself any issues that may have caused division in the blogroll.

2. Membership in The Truth Laid Bear (TTLB). (If you are having a problem with TTLB, email me and we can discuss it.)

3. You must display the blogroll on your blog.

4. Minimum swearing

You don't have to blog about Christian issues but you have to be a Christian to be on the blogroll.

Email me your url (the email address is in the sidebar) or leave a comment to this post with your email address and the url to your blog. Let me know that you want to be on the Christian Blogosphere blogroll when you email me or I might send you the code for the Blogging Chicks blogroll :-)

After you've installed the code, it would be good idea to advertise the blogroll by writing a post about it. Blog readers don't always notice when you've added something to the sidebar. The blogroll will grow if we advertise it.

When I send you the code, I will send it with the graphic and the scrollbar. You don't have to use the graphic or the scrollbar, I send it because it's more convenient that way.

You might want to check back here occasionally for announcements. I have set up a subscription service so that you can be emailed when I post to this blog.

Updated again: I think that I've upset some people because I allowed a little swearing on the blogroll. I actually did this to avoid any problems in the future of people thinking that since this is a Christian blogroll, that there won't be any swearing on it. But Christians occasionally swear or post about other Christians swearing. And political bloggers may quote a politician or someone else who swears. I wanted those bloggers to feel free to post what they wanted and to warn everyone else that it might happen.
