Since the Christian Bloggers blogroll is no longer taking new members I decided to start a blogroll so that those who wanted to associate with other Christians would be able to do so. This blogroll is open to Christians of all denominations.
Requirements to be on the blogroll:
1. Agreement with the Apostle's Creed and these statements. Update: I thought that it would be obvious from the statement of faith I referenced that this was a Protestant blogroll. I apologize for the confusion. This implies absolutely nothing about anyone's status before God. I decided to limit it to make it easier and spare myself any issues that may have caused division in the blogroll.
(If you have a problem with the wording of the statements, email me and we can discuss it).
2. Membership in The Truth Laid Bear (TTLB). (If you are having a problem with TTLB, email me and we can discuss it.)
3. You must display the blogroll on your blog.
4. Minimum swearing
You don't have to blog about Christian issues but you have to be a Christian to be on the blogroll.
Email me your url (the email address is in the sidebar) or leave a comment to this post with your email address and the url to your blog. Let me know that you want to be on the Christian Blogosphere blogroll when you email me or I might send you the code for the Blogging Chicks blogroll :-)
After you've installed the code, it would be good idea to advertise the blogroll by writing a post about it. Blog readers don't always notice when you've added something to the sidebar. The blogroll will grow if we advertise it.
When I send you the code, I will send it with the graphic and the scrollbar. You don't have to use the graphic or the scrollbar, I send it because it's more convenient that way.
You might want to check back here occasionally for announcements. I have set up a subscription service so that you can be emailed when I post to this blog.
Update: I've created a Christian Blogosphere Network at Feedburner, go here for details. You can see the feed on the sidebar. Those are members of the network.
Updated again: I think that I've upset some people because I allowed a little swearing on the blogroll. I actually did this to avoid any problems in the future of people thinking that since this is a Christian blogroll, that there won't be any swearing on it. But Christians occasionally swear or post about other Christians swearing. And political bloggers may quote a politician or someone else who swears. I wanted those bloggers to feel free to post what they wanted and to warn everyone else that it might happen.

I would love to be part of the Christian Bloggers blogroll, but I am having a problem with TTLB. I have been trying for months now to get the issue resolved, but they are not getting back with me...So, I guess I can't be a member...
I'm here via a post on Sting My Heart. I am interested in joining this blogroll, but I am wondering why being a member of Truth Laid Bear is a requirement? I've never heard of it but looked around it and don't see a reason to join it. I dislike the rankings according to evolutionary terms there.

I've seen the "I'm a lowly microbe in the blogosphere" (or something like that) type buttons on the sidebars of some blogs and assumed, when I saw the same or a similar ranking system on TTLB site that they were the same. The first impression when you see those is not that it's a Christian making a joke -- the first impression is that it is pro-evolutionary.
But, all of that aside -- why the need to join that to be part of this?
I would probably relax the requirement for those who have a problem with it. In your case, I don't think that you can install the code on your wordpress blog. And, btw, you can't install the blogroll either. Wordpress doesn't allow javascript.
I'd like to participate too. I also had problems getting TTLB to load, so don't know if I can agree to membership with them or not. I've never heard of them before, but I take it they are an pro-creationist christian group, yes? I'm an avid creation scientist, so could not agree to membership with them if they are not of like mind. I would like to join your new blogroll though.

I would love to join this new blogroll - actually my hubby and I both have blogs - however, the TTLB is a problem. I've had it for 3 months but have had problems right from the start and can't even get a single ranking from them. I've contacted them several times, but haven't heard a single word in response. Frankly, I don't have time to hassle with them any more.
