Teresa Tomeo on "Noise"
I planned to write my own review of veteran Catholic and secular broadcaster Teresa Tomeo's book Noise, but have been caught up in too many other projects and activities. But I do what I can; and I can certainly direct your attention to her book on the influence of the media on our lives, by pointing you to her blog on the book at this link. I met her on a recent pilgrimage to Israel. She is on fire with love for Jesus and is a whirl of enthusiasm and also comes with a very gracious and gentle husband. You can also listen to her daily at Ave Maria Radio, an apostolate I highly encourage all readers to use and support. Here is the Ave Maria Radio link where you can listen live via the internet from anywhere in the world. Ave Maria Radio is chock-full of talent and insight from many, including some of my favorite people, all of which I have run into personally at one time or another: Sister Ann Shields, Sister Sarah Burdick, Al Kresta, Peter Herbeck, Theresa Hofer, and Fr. Pat Eagan, among others. So, if you want radio in the background as you work on something else--I can think of no better choice. It may change your life. I especially recommend the shows by Sister Ann Shields ("Food for the Journey") and Peter Herbeck ("Fire on the Earth").
