This week’s contestant was cut of their own suggestion. Lawn Darts, it seems, will be going on indefinite hiatus soon to take care of their personal lives. While we can understand this all too well, we wish them both the best of luck and hope to see them putting out quality comics in the very near future again.
This week Webcomic Idol bids a fond farewell to Soul Driver, an intense comic by the very talented J. Giar. He was a great contender with a lot of class and a great comic, and we were honored to have him in the contest.
The new round is live, so keep on voting, folks! Remember, you’re voting a comic OUT of the contest!
Week #1 has come and gone. Sadly it has also left five great comics in its path. This past week saw the lost of the first five contestants. So a hearty thank you goes out to the first cut of finalists.

Please keep reading their comics and supporting them. These are all great comics and we’re sad that they had to go. We’re sad that we couldn’t keep all of them, but there can only be one winner.
The judges have offered their first impressions of the top ten, and now it’s up to you to decide the fate of the contenders. Vote for the comic you want OUT of the contest - a vote for your favorite is a vote against your favorite! The first round cuts the field in half!
Unlike other dubious elections that will be coming up during the span of Webcomic Idol, we want you to know that when you vote in our competition your vote actually counts. My opponent would have you believe that…oh sorry, I got carried away.
