Google Sites Google Web Hosting

Google has come out with a third way to offer web hosting, and it’s called Google sites. The advantage of this google web hosting site is that it’s free. It’s supposedly made for group websites, so that a whole group of people can participate in the website, keep up to date, and such. But it strikes that a person can just make their website on google sites and take advantages of the multiple features it offers. As per the google web site hosting, here’s what it says about google sites:

Plan club meetings and activities Share info on a secure company intranet Collaborate on a team project Stay connected with family members
It looks pretty sweet. The only thing is, once again, you can’t upload your own files, your own php, or other web hosting necessities such as mysql. But it does work as a good alternative to both blogger as well as google web hosting’s traditinal googlepages.
