Rice to Meet with North Korea Next Week

ABC News' Kirit Radia Reports: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will meet with her North Korean counterpart next week in Singapore.
The meeting won't be one-on-one, but rather part of an "informal meeting" of the six party talks on the foreign minister level on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Regional Forum.
While this will be the first time Rice will meet with the North Koreans, it is something she has expressed an intention to do in the past. State Dept spokesman Sean McCormack said this does not preclude a formal meeting at a later date.
What's the difference?
McCormack said there is no goal or agenda for this meeting, though he scoffed at the idea that this is just a breaking the ice meeting. "It's useful to the diplomacy," he said.
"It's not to produce some specific negotiated outcome," McCormack said of the meeting. "There will not be an outcome document or any such thing. But it is a good opportunity for the ministers to be able to assess the work of the heads of delegation (Chris Hill, et al) to the six party talks."
"Our message will be," McCormack said, "let's move this process forward."

What's Rice going for, to stir up trouble? It can't be for diplomacy, she and Bush don't know what that is.

As Donald Trump said previously, all she is good for is shaking hands and photo ops. Totally useless, has done nothing in all her years as SOS to further anything. This is another in a long list of useless meetings. What a waste, worst SOS ever.

It's apparent that the White House is finally playing catch-up to Senator Obama, a supposed neophyte on foreign policy and national security. First it was against attacking Al-Qaeda leadership in Pakistan (as espoused by the Senator), now its launching missile strikes and routinely allowing defensive fire into Pakistan. Next it was against appeasement (dialogue) of Tehran, now the number three State Department official will be meeting with the Iranians. Finally, it was against time-tables for withdrawal (surrender), now it's agreed to a 'general time horizon' for withdrawal of US troops. Let's watch the conservatives spin these 'flip-flops'!

Rice is right up there with her BOSS...Both are as dumb as a pile of rocks.184 more days and this dingbat will be gone too...The world cant wait..184 more days and people all over the world will be dancing in the streets..And this collection of THUGS will be gone.

I saw "Ms.DOUBLE SPEAK" today on the Situation Room, with Mr. Wolf Blitzer, she can not answer a straight question about any thing..Ask he what day it is and she will tell you how to make a calendar..Of course she gets this from her Boss, who is the biggest liar in the world.
