Adam and Steve Go To Church

April 15, 2007

This must be a pretty awesome church to publish a religious tract featuring a couple of twink gay boys hooking up. Weho Church in West Hollywood, CA (where else?) was founded seven years ago by Pastor Terry Brewer to reach out to the gays in a way that was affirming and relevant to lives of the LGBT community. This must make James Dobson choke on his holier than thou water.

As Brewer says, “We are not going to pretend that gay guys don’t have sex.”

God created Adam and Eve….

God did not create Adam and steve as you want America to believe…

No matter how you sugar coat your life style, God does not support your Queerness….

In God’s eye’s, your an abomination unto Him…Your Lifestyle is a sin, Period!!

You cannot justify your lifestyle with the word of God…

Sin is Sin, no matter the Sin…

I do not hate you as a person, but I hate the spirit that is behind the sinfulness…

God can and will forgive all sins, however, one must refrain from sinning, Period!!

I am reaching out to you in the Holy Ghost, to tell you that your lifestyle is in error according to the word of God….

Sugarcoat it any way you want, it’s still a load of bullshit. There is no god, jesus or all the other cast of fantasyland creatures upon which America pretends it is based. And don’t listen to “truthbear” (puts the moron in oxymoron) in the post above either. That is so painfully typical of the brainless, ignorant, idiot approach of too many Americans to the futile stupidity of religion.

Nice blog!

I love these “not Adam and Steve” idiots. Let’s follow the logic: Therefore, since (Whatever!) made just Adam and Eve, then the rest of the population came from…incest, darling, incest. Now there’s a family value for you.

Jeebus, please save us from your followers.

Well, Hello Paul;

Which one are you, adam or steve? You will not only find your fantasy, you will also feel your fantasy up close and personal…God will make sure the home fires are burning for you when you end up in hell because of your ignorance….Praise god, Praise God!!

Oh, hello “Truthbear”. I will happily front YOUR god or whatever other fantasy creature you care to conjure up to make you feel self important and powerful. You American fundie christians really are a sanctimonious, loud mouthed bunch. Anyway what are you doing around a Blog like this? Looking for sins to closely examine, study, and condemn? Are you one of Pastor Haggard’s flock by any chance? He appears to have been Steve-ing it up a bit. Seems to be a pretty common problem with fundie pastors doesn’t it.

Truthbear, you seem to be of the Fred Phelp’s school of fire and brimestone bitterness. If your religious faith is based fear, hatred and a wish to see people who are exactly like you “end up in hell,’ you are a sad and pathetic creature.

You and others like you including Falwell, Dobson and the haters hawking the “ex-gay” hocus pocus spend a lot of time obsessing over homosex. Have you ever wander what that says about you?

BTW, I am Adam or Steve depending on my mood and the guy I am with.

Rock on Mr Bloggernista.

9. Webster  |  April 17, 2007 at 11:48 am

Truthbear is the order of Christianista that uses the Bible as a drunk does a lamp post–for support rather than illumination.

Best just to ignore their rantings and let them babble in the corner.

Well said Webster. I am wondering if “Truthbear” is seeking the truth about his on sexuality and that’s why he is hanging out at a clearly gay blog.

I like this comic, it’s very nice. I’m glad to see some churches don’t alienate people.

And…isn’t god supposed to love everyone? Besides….I don’t put too much faith in a guy who has set rules on sex with animals but doesn’t allow people to love. (Apparently…a man could have sex with female livestock if he orgasmed. He had to kill it directly after and sell the meat to a neighboring village. XD If he were to have sex with a male animal, it had to be burned at the stake immediately. Now, what god like that can’t allow people to be gay/lesbian?)

17. Michael Crawford  |  July 13, 2008 at 10:27 am

People should not be made to feel as though they are evil and unloved by God because of who they love.

The funny part is that the anti-gay right seems so intent on promoting hatred against LGBT people that they have forgotten the overwhelming importance of love.

18. jacob  |  July 15, 2008 at 12:23 am

i totally agree with you Michael, people that think that its o.k. to bash and hate others who dont see things exactly like they do , and say they love god is totally a hypacritical family and dosnt it say some were in the bible “treat others how you would like others to treat you”? how would they like it if we treated them as do us?

19. wordsseldomsaid  |  July 22, 2008 at 6:17 pm
