Goplan launches!

Fred Oliveira on March 16, 2007

This is a cross-post with our Goplan blog, where we post all the news and updates related to our project management and collaboration app.

After quite a long period in testing, and a longer period of development we’re proud to say we’re officially launching Goplan. We couldn’t be happier, and we hate selling our own solution (because we’re biased - we love it!), but we believe we have a pretty compelling product to manage online projects.

Goplan

There’s obvious (and great) competition from our friends at 37Signals, the guys at Zoho, and even in the open-source Activecollab. But because none of those actually did it for us and our needs, we decided to build and launch our own product. We have our own set of features, and we have a pretty serious value proposition: giving you the right tools and flexibility, and getting out of your way.

We paid attention to what the blogosphere said and to what testers left in our feedback system, and built a solution around the needs of the majority of people. We won’t say we have the perfect product, but the problem is no-one does.

Anyway, get to the Goplan homepage (goplan.info) and hit the application (goplan.org) if you’re ready to sign-up! Oh, and final screenshots are on Flickr!

Final notes: And so finally we launch the first product we built for ourselves. It is refreshing to see something we built out of our own necessities get launched - to contrast with the applications we build, and work on, for our clients. We’ll be doing this again, and more often, so keep an eye out.

Good work team!

Great stuff. Competition is always good and the 37signals folks need it in my opinion. Pricing is great - I think I’m sold! ;-)

Well done guys ;)

Very cool, congrats guys. I found you from the TechCrunch homepage. Love the design, from just playing around it is quite nice.

Being a geek I have to ask: I see you guys use PayPal for all the subscriptions, when users modify their subscription does it basically delete the old one and create a new one? I’m working on a subscription-based app right now too and am struggling on whether to use PayPal subscriptions or someone like TrustCommerce due to how modifications are handled (i.e upgrading or downgrading an account).

Anyways, keep up the great work guys. I will definitely help in testing this out :-)

Is it just me or is the site down? http://goplan.info will not load for me.

Something to say?
