Hello,
When I try to activate this plugin in Wordpress 2.31 and I am using firestats 1.4.4 ,I get a message that says it could not be activated because it caused a fatal error?
Any reason why this is happening?

Hi, no idea.
check your server logs for hints.
also, try to upload everything again, you may have missed a file.
