I said this because I know I need strength to wait, but I also instantly realized that I would much rather not need this supernaturally-endowed perseverance.

I would much rather pray: Lord, teach me to be humble and gracious toward others despite their obvious inferiority in light of my dazzling, quantifiably-spectacular success.   Yes.
