Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes....

There are some changes on the horizon for our family. I can't elaborate right now, just keep us in your thoughts and prayers. It's good, I can promise you that.

If you're the praying type, pray that no matter what the outcome is we will be at peace with the results.

Thanks!

Checking in on my 2008 goals....

Back in December I posted my goals for 2008. Let's revisit them, shall we?

I am not making any resolutions this year. I will, however, set some goals. :) Most of them are craft related.

I want to learn how to sew better. I want to be able to make bags to give as gifts, to hold knitting or to be used as handbags. Maybe even get good enough to sell on Etsy or at craft shows. I want to learn how to do fair isle. I want to learn how to intarsia. I want to learn how to make 2 socks at once.
I want to make a sweater for me. I want to feel confident enough in my scrapbooking ability to apply for a design team.
I can cross off 2 items from that list. Back in January I learned how to knit 2 socks at once. And this weekend I applied for, and was accepted, a spot on Paula P.'s Creative Team!! Woo hoo!!! I am so stinking excited!

I applied on a whim. She posted the call on Faith Sisters and was closing the application process yesterday. I threw my hat into the ring, figuring it'd be good practice and maybe I'd get some feed back on how to become a better digi-scrapper. Imagine my surprise when I opened her email and the first words I read were "I would love to have you join my CT"!!! Oh. My. Gosh!!! I bawled for the first 30 minutes or so. Then I started panicking. My work will be on display for tons of folks to see!! I will be representing someone else!!! EEEP!!!

I am so blessed to have this opportunity! Paula, if you're reading this, thank you!

Have a great Monday! It's gray and rainy here.... Typical Ketchikan weather!

New 'do

There's no pink. She didn't have pink. There's chunks of red in the front. :) I love it! She puffed it out a bit 'cause I'm going to the movies tonight with a friend. I like it, but I can't wait to see it tomorrow and do it myself.

I'm all set!

Thank you Becky for lining up my header for me, and for catching the spelling mistake! Whoops! I think PSE needs spell check! The funny thing is, I kept looking at it and it was fine. I know how to spell glimpse.... But my brain was faster than my fingers and it came out funny.

My house is quiet! :) Dh took the boys to work with him today. No kids, no husband, woo hoo!

I'm getting my hair cut and colored this afternoon. I wanted to get it done before I went to Sitka. I'm debating having hot pink streaks put in.... We'll see. I'll take before and after pictures no matter what.

Thanks for putting up with all the changes yesterday, and for adding your thoughts to my header! I appreciate it!

I need to go pour myself some coffee. I think while the boys are gone today I will pry myself from the computer and go start ironing and cutting fabric. I'm making new, bigger quilts for them. :)

Amber, I'm using PSE 6. I got it for Christmas and still haven't learned my way around it.

Ok, I think I'm done....

I like it!!! I still need to make a small graphic for over on that side, you know, over there.... One of those "take me" graphics. :) I'll get to working on it....

Thank you again to all the great designers at Faith Sisters! I love, love, love the fall kit and am looking so forward to using everything!!!

We are experiencing technical difficulties....

My blog needs a face lift. :) Please stand by as I make the changes that make me happy. I apologize in advance if things don't look quite right.

Thanks!

I've been tagged....

Thanks Ryann... :D

The "rules" of the game are as follows:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 6 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
4. If you're tagged, DO IT and pass on the tag.

So, 6 random things about myself...

1. I enlisted in the Army before graduating from high school. That didn't last long.

2. Both my ears are double pierced, but wearing earrings annoys me.

3. I like to read. Scratch that, I love reading. When I do sit down and do it I can usually read an entire book in less than 4 hours. I've told the boys that I could probably sit down and read all 7 Harry Potter books within 2 weeks. I think I may actually have to step up to that challenge.

4. The "Star Spangled Banner" makes me cry. Seriously. Every time I hear it I'm sobbing by the third line. Doesn't matter if it's live or on TV, it makes me cry. And if a kid (or kids choir) is singing it? I'm sobbing by the 3rd word!

5. Since moving to Alaska my hair has started getting wavy. Of course, by the time my hair has air dried it's straight again, with a bit of a "curve" in the back.

6. As much as I say I don't want to be a Cub Scout leader, I secretly hope that they pick me to help out!

Ok, now to tag 6 people....

Debi
Melissa
Carrie
Jori
Melissa
Amber

Thanks again Ryann for the tag. This was fun.
