I’ve just managed to dig up some dirt on RT’s past. It’s very very very very disturbing indeed (before your minds all get clogged up, there’s nothing to do with RT and sleeping with any students, since he could never get laid, as much as he would like to, even with an ah kua, so please strikeout that thought, eww! ops:).

Once I have gathered enough information, I shall post it here again PLUS will be informing the Dean about this as soon as I possibly can.

Well, heard from Andi that the session of feedback with the HoP regarding RT is mainly due to some complaints regarding the lecturer. Phew! For once, I actually thought staff at SOCIT knew about my blog!

Seems like RT’s landing his big @$$ in hot soup (much like those thrown at Sir Alex Ferguson after the Man Utd - Arsenal match), stay tuned

Status update:

I am now in the lecture theatre listening to a briefing about Final Year Project for next semester. And earlier before the briefing began, the assistant to the Head of Programme (HoP) approached us and requested for a few of my fellow classmates to meet up with the HoP, to discuss and gather feedback regarding the BLFH, Mr. RT

Seems like the mediocrity of RT’s lecturing capabilities have reached the attention of college management. Perhaps they saw the previous entries of the blog regarding RT.

Tomorrow, Wil, Andi, James and the gang will be meeting up with the HoP for the feedback

I received the above screenshot image from Benet, my very good buddy from high school days. Apparently, due to my recent influx of swearwords on my blog, Benet could no longer access my blogsite from Curtin U, Sarawak campus’ computer laboratories. Benet, however, said he still managed to access my site, by using a SOCKS proxy server… kih kih kih, that cheeky fella… he’s constantly wreaking havoc in the computer labs there!

To remedy this problem, for Benet and other visitors, I’ll try my best to reduce my swearing, or at least rename to something that the system doesn’t catch, like fcuk instead. It’s tough not to swear on my blog, especially when I have RT giving us all hell (see: Bastard Lecturer From Hell).

… as I woke up this morning, to see dim and distorted display on my monitor. Horrifying! First thought that my Samsung SyncMaster 173V LCD monitor gone bonkers…!

Tried plugging the monitor to my laptop, realised it was working fine… phew!
Took out the desktop’s el cheapo Milkystar NVIDIA GeForce2MX-400 card to realise that the active cooling fan on the heatsink spoilt. Darn!

First instinct, was to go out to the living room, unplugged the living room HTPC (home theatre PC) that is pretty much dormant now, and plug out its ATI Radeon 7000 series card (that has CRT, DVI, and RCA video output) and yanked it into my desktop. Removed the NVIDIA Detonator drivers, installed the ATI Catalyst drivers, and voila, colours become more vibrant than before! Yay!

Everything was working fine for 5 minutes, then the screen become tinted yellow. Uh-oh! Thought it was the connector on the CRT not plugged tight enough, wiggled it, worked fine and then gone! Darkness!

Apparently due to the ATI card not having an active cooling fan, it overheated and died-ed. Fuck! I’ve now 2 useless AGP 3D cards lying around. Resorted to the desktop’s on-board video adapter for display now. No more vibrant colours, as the adapter can’t do more than 24-bit on 1280×1024 resolution!

It’s a bad day, fried 2 graphic cards… sigh… now no more to do my project documentation…. fucked up!

… that I started receiving a few days ago:

A small kid, probably in his early primary school age, called me up on my mobile phone. He speaks in Mandarin dialect and asked for a particular person, which is not me.

I told him it’s a wrong number, he promptly hung up, and called back! Second time around, I explained to him that he might have gotten the number wrong. Fine, he hung up, and the called up the 3rd time and when I picked it up and say hello, he hung up.

Then he called up again a few minutes ago, after 2 days since the first call. He just said hello, and then hung up when I responded. And then he kept calling my mobile for over 10 times, each call lasting more than 1.5 minutes and in total silence. Can hear him breathe though.

Since it’s him calling, I didn’t bother hanging up, I’ll let his prepaid credit (assuming it’s prepaid, since it’s a DiGi line) run dry with his effort. Geez, really, parents should stop giving primary school kids mobilephones, only to be abused, and having the kids waste the money away and ask for topup everytime.

Worse, would be that mobilephone is his mom’s and his mom is gonna give him some spanking action when she finds out he drained credits off her prepaid line…

Today, unfortunately, I stayed back for RT’s class. He teached for one hour (I was 25 mins late into the class, so my suffering was 25 mins lesser than others in the class), and the started making us do past year paper questions again…. *yawn*

RT have the tendencies to occasionally mention his personal comments about INTI and its management (especially directed towards the President of INTI). Very unprofessional to be voicing out anything bad about your own employer. PhD my ass!

While we were attempting the questions, out of the blue, he mentioned about our test last week. He claimed that only a couple of people listened to his advice of highlighting important points in our test/exam answers. I was like WTF??!!!

What the hell is wrong with his sorry lazy ass? He’s so fucking lazy, that he wants us to highlight to him the important points. I, for one, never bother to write grandmother stories, but gets straight into relevant points… so am I supposed to highlight my entire answer sheet yellow?!

Furthermore, highlighting portions of the answers would only make it difficult for him to spot the valid points that didn’t get highlighted, but worth marks. Coz as usual, we would all be drawn towards the highlighted portions and skim thru it instead of thoroughly reading thru the entire answer as a whole.

Unbelievable, really, the craps that come out of him…

And he have the guts to come tell us to try (lecturers can’t postpone, only the students can apply) postpone our final exam for his subject to an afternoon slot instead of the allocated 8am-11am slot, just because he comes from his mother’s womb in Cheras, and he don’t like getting up at 5am to drive here before 7am to prepare the hall for the exam. What a load of bullshit, there’s easily 4 of us in the class who will have to study for the damned paper, and then drive/take bus all the way from KL to the college just in time for the exam and slave thru the 3-hour period writing, and he’s complaining having to wake up, drive to college, walk around the exam hall, and get paid for it? Geez… what a dumbfuck of a lecturer…

That’s all for my rants on RT for today. Can’t wait to get back home to snore my day away…

… since there are quite a number of people doubting my uncapped Streamyx ADSL line… oh well, there are naive people, and then there are dumbfucks (terasa eh? ) who commented about my recent posts on the uncapped line…

Contrary to popular beliefs, I’m no photoshop expert, I would gladly be doing a degree in multimedia or graphic design if I am, I even suck in art… that’s why I’m doing my degree in network computing instead…

Okay, back to the uncapping issue… all the DSL connection in a particular neighbourhood is connected to the same telco exchange office or central office (read: that white and boring Telekom building nearby your area, often you can see a lot of antennas at the top and a few Telekom service vans parked there while the engineers technicians hang out at nearby mamak stalls during office hours). Inside this exchange is where all your phone lines in the neighbourhood connected to, and in the case of DSL service, you’re connected to a port in the DSLAM (Dunno-what, Something La, Aiseh Man).

Myth #1: How can you get 2.5mbps (and then later over 4.5mbps) when the connection at the exchange to the internet gateway is only 2mbps?
- Well, the connection from the exchange office to the TMnet backbone is on ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode, not your father’s wallet, you dumbfuck!), so it’s not a 2mbps leased-line or whatever shit you learned from the back alley. Think about it, one exchange office is typically responsible for at least 5km radius of connections, and that’ll be quite a lot of DSL connections as well. If it’s only 2mbps shared, how on earth can everyone still get, say, the subscribed speed of 384kbps/512kbps and download at 40kb/sec ~ 55kb/sec all at the same time? And if you don’t know, full-rate DSL can reach up to 8mbps. So consider this myth debunked.

Myth #2: You must be lying since you are telling us weird connection speeds like 2,592kbps, 4,736kbps, 832kbps, etc… the service is of multiples of 128, so your speed must be fake/fabricated!
- This is another poor observation of the DSL technology. DSL technology typically (at least ADSL is) limited to 5km at most from the exchange office. Having the connection nearer to the exchange will yield stable speed while being far from the exchange will result to deteriorated speed. As such, my connection may be excellent at 512kbps/256kbps, but when it’s upped, the copper quality (this area is at least 15 years old) and line noise comes into play, thus reducing the speed I can achieve. Consider this myth debunked too.

Myth #3: You must have paid the Telekom engineer technician some $$$ to have him uncap the line for you.
- No, I didn’t and I don’t even intend to do that should this is possible with any technician in my area. With Pak Lah still active against corruption and graft, I’m not gonna get myself in trouble doing this. No I’m not totally pro-Pak Lah’s administration, but I’m totally not pro-corruption and graft. I’m happily paying RM 66 per month (okay, add another 10 bucks just cause I needed the Hotspot wi-fi account)

Myth #4: You must be using some kind of compression software and/or connection optimizing software to achieve such speed.
- I don’t believe in any of those products, and frankly, they may optimize your connection to say, 5-10% extra, but that’s it. Show me a software that can up the speed as much as my uncapped line, and I might consider giving you a tour to see my connection speed

Myth #5: YOU ARE A LIAR/CHEATER/PHOTOSHOPPER AND YOU FAKE ALL THIS CRAP!
- *this is directed only to some dumbfuck childish idiots* Sure, and you’re a dumbfuck wanker who have no substance in your comments. If you don’t know a damn bit about how things work, do us all a favour, and just SHUT THE FUCK UP. It’s a handy advice, trust me, people may think that you’re a dumbfuck, but when you open your mouth, it removes all doubts.

This is my blog, I post what I want, I can bend the truth, but that’s not my style, if you don’t believe and want to make a big deal out of it, then just heed my advice: GO FUCK YOURSELF!

… but RT cannot, so he teaches instead…

This is a major rant post that’s way overdue… so here goes everything….
This semester, there’s this dumbfuck of a lecturer (trust me, I’ve plenty of respect for my lecturers, especially Mr Penton & Mr Daneswaran), who’s quite new in the college, responsible for one of my course. I’ll call this lecturer RT from now onwards.

Major dumbfuck he is (whole class concur to my statement), he has really really screwed up approach to course delivery and I heard that students last semester gave him quite bad a feedback during the lecturer evaluation time…

This time around, RT was trying to be a smart alec, he tried to promise us certain stuff, and at the end of the promise, I did ask him what’s the catch, in which he said none. Lo and behold, a couple of days later was his lecturer evaluation time… I, of course, saw thru his fake attempt to build rapport with the students, gave him a fair evaluation (read: Cs and Ds mostly, that’s what he deserved) instead of giving him a fairly good evaluation.

How is he such a major dumbfuck, you’d ask? Well, first his teaching method sucks, he would teach one chapter, and then ask us to do past exam paper questions related to the chapter that instance itself… we’ve yet to even digested the chapter he taught, and we’ve got to write answers for that… lame… At times when he doesn’t want to continue teaching the next chapter (giving excuses such as we’re ahead of schedule), he’ll make us whip out the past exam papers and do more questions (this just happened yesterday)… he would let us do for 2 minutes, while we’re collecting our thoughts and writing it down, he would start talking about either the question or crappy crappy stuff like basic exam writing tips (hello? We’re in final year now, if we couldn’t handle final exams, how could we reach final year level???! ), and then he’ll stop and 2 minutes later, resume the same old shit… fucking unnerving and disturbing!

None of us liked his approach, but he couldn’t care less about how we feel towards it… coz yesterday I finally voiced out my disagreement to his approach, in which he had no proper comeback… I said something like:

“Sir, can you either just discuss the questions now and let us do it afterwards -OR- let us do it now AND THEN DISCUSS IT LATER??! You’re disturbing the thinking process!”
“Well, this is not an exam, not even a test, it’s just a tutorial… I’m not gonna talk like this tomorrow during the test…”, RT replied
“YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOU DON’T!” I said, rather pissed…
and then he went on with his excuses… and I just couldn’t care less about him anymore, spoiled my mood to tackle the questions I just end the conversation with “BUT YOUR DAMN VOICE IS BLOODY DISTURBING!”

After the class, while in the college canteen, some of the classmates saw me and started shaking my hands, saying “well done” on standing against the damned RT… Oh one more thing, RT is fucking anal about attendance taking…. you see, nowadays in college the lecturers use a PDA to take our attendance a la Touch-N-Go on our ID smartcards. As usual, some of us would be skipping the class, and passing on the ID to another friend attending the class…

Stupid RT is so anal that when he found out we’re using this trick, he personally removed the attendance record taken for the absent students…. and nowadays he hold his PDA so dearly, much like the way he holds the 2 peanuts he calls testicles….

More rants to come… today during the test, he didn’t bother photocopying the test questions for us, he’s so fucking lazy, he ended up making ONE transparency slide of the question and made us look up to the screen for the questions… why the fuck is he trying to skim the paper? It’s not like we’re not paying the college (and indirectly, him) enough for papers…

You must be damn curious about how he looks like, don’t you? Well, I don’t have any picture of him, but I can assure you, you can easily mistaken him for William Hung… but it’s quite unfair to say that he looks like William Hung, coz Will is so much better a man than he’ll ever be…

And I managed to pull up a profile of RT somewhere on the Internet… let’s have a laugh at what he wrote…
his birthday: Feb 25, 1980 (wtf!!! He’s only 1 year older than me… no wonder he’s such inmature dumbfuck)
height: 173cm (yeap, he’s shorter than me, but I think he’s not more than 170cm)
body type: athletic (yeah right, if he’s athletic, then I’ve got a body to die for… he’s a fat ass, even Drew Carey would be ashamed of his body!)
education: PhD (I guess he conveniently “PhD”ed himself, permanent head damaged)
profession: self-employed/business (I guess his self-employed dotcom busted and then now gotta work as a lowly-paid lecturer)
weight: 65kg (it’s either his bathroom scale is broken, or that’s his weight when he was 12, coz everyone seems to say he’s over 80kg!)

I guess that’s all I’ve to rant about this, I can bet you my classmates will start coming into my blog and comment further on the rants…

My last rant about RT would be: What can I say about him, a Nokia user that leaves his Bluetooth on visible all the time (stupid dumbfuck draining his batteries)….
