In every democratic society the president has various means to listen to the citizens that have elected him either directly or through their representatives in parliament. In Lebanon, the general public does not have such a chance and the president should not only listen to the skewed opinions of the various sectarian leaders who are mostly governed by their own interests and foreign influences that are mainly against Lebanese goals.
This forum intends to allow every citizen to talk directly to the president without intermediaries. We hope that this will give the president the opportunity to listen to the hopes and aspirations of the people and their dreams of a better future.

To Naharnet. Is this a serious press? Are the questions being forwarded to the president? We never obtained answers to our questions. In the first place naharnet lost its credibility because I doubt the president really is receiving those questions. So now I want proofs that naharnet is forwading those questions to the president. It is not acceptable otherwise to consider Naharnet a serious plattform.

Dear Mr. President, The lebanese elected you by majority. People had the impression you were patriot and neutral. However, ever since you asked the criminal "saniora" to stay in the government as prime minister, I and many other lebanese have become disappionted. So, you have let us down. Its good that you don't have authority otherwise we would have expected worst from your regime.

His Excellency President Soleiman: Could you please pass this message to the Her Excellency, The First Lady Mrs Soleiman: Mrs Soleiman, they say that "behind every great man stands a great woman" Could you please hint to the president, that you as a woman, mother, a Lebanese female would like to see that your fellow Lebanese women have equal rights, and the right to pass citizenship to children and non Lebanese husband? I count on you Mrs Soleiman to take the matter with the president from a feminine point of view. I think the president is not listenting to the public so far. Thanks Mrs Wafaa Soleiman

Mr President, I am really getting frustrated and disappointed with you as you have not yet driven forward the citizenship equality issue. May be I was a fool for counting on you from the beginning as you are just one more corrupt Lebanese president. I hope not. We have had enough in Lebanon. Please do your work.

Mr. President, I'll keep it short. When are we going to have Lebanese politicians working for Lebanese? And when are we going to get rid of all those criminals and thieves? And when are we going to finally have a country? And when are we going to be proud to say "I am Lebanese"? Do you have any power to let us get rid of the current politicians? Thank you for your answer.

Mr. president: I am recent immigrant from Lebanon. My question is, will your term see any serious smart discussion about the elimination of cultural censorship and about the decriminalization of homosexuality? Those two issues are the main reasons why I have left my beloved country as I am gay and was afraid of living in Lebanon and also because I work in the field of arts and I see that nothing of value can be done under our current system of censorship over cinema, literature, and theater. Even mail is censored. Every package I bought online when I was still in Lebanon was opened and some were even confiscated. I understand the pressure on you but would like an honest answer. This is a question that affects a big percentage of our population. Thank yo
