one problem
Your primary-key debate article caught my eye because I had this exact debate a few years ago. I think the article made some good points but it omitted one very important point; the use of random/arbitrary keys can often allow users to create duplicate records. The fact that your key is always random allows otherwise duplicate records to be entered into the database multiple times.
