I know there are many of you out there who are not named Jacqui who prefer to view PDF documents directly within the browser. Safari has the ability built-in, but Adobe's browser plug-in only works with Safari and basically just takes over the built-in renderer. If you're using the newly released Firefox 3 for Mac, however, there's now a plug-in available that uses Mac OS X's built-in PDF display capabilities to view PDFs inline.

Mac OS X Hints user Typhoon14 noted that all the same keyboard shortcuts and contextual menu options are available. After a quick install (though I wish the browser didn't have to restart for every plug-in) I surfed over to a nice type specimen from Psy Ops. Everything worked beautifully, including zooming in and out and printing. If you're using FF3 but missing inline PDF viewing, swing by Google Code and you'll be in business in no time.
