Some clients want to maintain sections of their website themselves, especially sections that change frequently such as "recent news" or a "upcoming events". Content Management Systems (CMS) are applications/scripts that are designed specifically for this purpose and WebYep is my favorite content management tool.
WebYep is the best content management system I've found that enables website owners to update portions of their website themselves. And there is no need to learn html - I promise! If you can send an email, you can edit your own website with WebYep!
I've set up a demonstration of WebYep below so you can see for yourself how easy it is to change my website yourself! (Visit my library of WebYep video tutorials)
Follow these steps to try WebYep - really, it's just this simple!
(it's an editable region) Write something. Click "save". Repeat with different regions. When you're finished, lock the padlock icon by clicking on it. Watch it change. Marvel at what you've done! You've just changed my website, all by yourself! Here's the padlock ->
Notice how it changes when you log in. After you log in, you'll see this symbol:
next to any editable regions below. There are four editable regions on this page - feel free to edit them all.
1. You can add text and format it yourself:
2. You can add images (please make sure they are under 500 pixels wide so they fit nicely on my page):

3. You can add files to be uploaded. HFF_Display_Gardens.doc
4. Here's an example of a loop element. It enables you to create repeating editable regions on the page all by yourself. Click on the plus (+) to make a whole new set. It's really amazing.
Wrap Your BRAIN Around this
And access to a whole styling box to add new material, including pictures - though that appears to require a lot more awareness of the site structure.
This editing capability is very handy!
In order to avoid making your poor recipients pay 2.50/text, maybe you can advise them to use the CREATE MESSAGE function on their phone rather than the REPLY function when texting you back. That way they're not misled into replying to Chikka and paying extra for it. ;)
Poached eggs, with toast - $5.00
Waffle
Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream - $8.00
yadda yadda WebYep
5. Here's an example of another use of a loop element. This one uses a row of 5 image elements inside a loop, so you can make as many rows as you like.

Web Yep is very inexpensive to purchase (under $50) and one license covers your entire website domain, meaning that you can have as many editable regions as you want! Web Yep is easy to download, configure and upload to your website.
And Web Yep's content is completely search engine friendly!
