The Master of Arts in Christian Ministries (M.A.C.M.) is a professional studies degree designed to equip persons with competencies in biblical/theological reflection, to enhance participants’ ministry skills and to instill patterns of personal and professional growth in the program participants.

The Master of Arts in Christian Ministries can be completed by any student, regardless of the field of their undergraduate degree. Participants with a strong undergraduate religion major may petition to reduce up to 12 credit hours of the 60 required in the M.A.C.M. The general requirements for graduation apply as well. A number of courses may be taken through directed research or distance learning .

The Continuing Education version of the M.A.C.M. can be completed by any student, regardless of the field of their undergraduate degree. Students with a religion major may be allowed to reduce the degree requirements from 60 credits to 48. At the end of their program, students are required to present an integrative research project that utilizes the skills learned in their degree program for applying biblical and professional research to a specific context of ministry. The general requirements for graduation (see AGTS Catalog) apply as well.

This degree curriculum is similar to that of the resident M.A.C.M.  However, the external studies version includes more electives to provide maximum flexibility of scheduling for branch campus directors and enhanced personal choice in course selection for program participants.  The requirements for this degree as stated in this catalog will remain for the duration of the student’s program.
