I don't normally bother posting anything here but a lot of people seem to be looking for hard information on the Lisbon Treaty. So if your interested the Irish Referendum Commission (an independent body) has put up a website giving a fairly decent plain English description of how things work now and what the planned changes are.

It won't make a whole lot of sense if you don't understand what the different parts of the EU are and what they do. There is a very brief out line here:
