Dear Friends of Speed the Light:
The official 2007-08 theme for Speed the Light is "EVERYWHERE". God’s heart is to reach the lost everywhere. Please set aside a special service to feature the ministry of Speed the Light. (Speed the Light Day is officially the 3rd Sunday of October, but you can choose any day for your missions service.) Highlight those who are sacrificing a lifetime of service in mission fields here and abroad, and challenge your congregation to partner with the youth in your church to give so that our missionary force can be equipped and the gospel taken EVERYWHERE.
The following resources are available to help you plan a significant and successful Speed the Light service. This is not a complete service plan, but components you may find helpful.
May God bless you and your church as you give sacrificially in order to equip those who are living sacrificially so that, together, we can reach the lost EVERYWHERE.
While the function of STL is to provide missionaries with the “essential transportation and creative communication,” our mission is to see “souls saved and lives changed.” Thank you for making Speed the Light a priority.

Speed the Light has provided Convoy of Hope with many of the outreach vehicles they use today (including a large number of their disaster response vehicles and tractor-trailers). As a result, many of our districts have directly benefited from COH’s community and disaster outreaches.Toby Schneckloth, District Youth Director for Nebraska, found out first hand the value of Speed the Light’s partnership with Convoy of Hope. “In the Nebraska District, we have supported Convoy of Hope through STL for many years. We were always blessed to send money to a program that was helping people in tragedies all over the globe, but we never realized how beneficial it would be when we were in need. In January of 2007, a major ice storm hit the southern part of our state, and the town of Holdrege with 6,000 people had no power for over a month. We were blessed when Convoy of Hope sent a crew to our city and helped provide needed supplies and support during a difficult time. All those years of faithful giving had come back to us when we needed it ourselves. Thank you STL and Convoy of Hope for the significant ministry you provide to people all over the world, and also here at home!”
Due to the great need across the world, Speed the Light is currently providing COH with additional vehicles and equipment. If you would like to send a special offering to help with this ministry expense, please contact your District Youth Director for more information on ways you can help.
