If you are a SXSW Registrant, sign up and receive special notices through the Online Registrant's Directory or txt JOIN [PLATINUM GOLD INTERACTIVE FILM MUSIC] Join an alert group whose messages are specifically targeted to badge-holding registrants.

SXSW will send you alerts and updates specific to your badge type for last minute schedule changes, special events, breaking news and more. Get the latest. Don't miss anything.

For example, if you are a Music Conference badge holder, text join music to 47979 to receive messages relevant to the SXSW Music Conference and Festival.

Search the Schedules By Texting to 47979

Text 'find panelname' or 'find bandname' or 'find filmname to 47979 to get sxsw schedule listings.

Using the FIND command instructs the sms system to search specific bands, films, and panels. Leave out the FIND command when texting for information on other items. Using the FIND command will NOT add your number to the group that will receive event and news alerts. Hint: use partial event names, but try to pick a more unique searchstring to get more focused results. Hint: for finer grain search try the following:
FIND [B|F|IP|FP|MP] searchstring
Text 'Find mp industry', for example, to find music panels with the word 'industry' in their name. The five subkeywords are as follows: B=band, F=film, IP=interactive panel, FP=film panel, MP=music panel. Searches that return multiple results will prefix each result with 1), 2) and so on. Text back the number of the result that you're interested in to get complete schedule info for that event.

Your mobile phone number will not be shared with any 3rd parties. It will only be used by SXSW to send you text-messages.
You may unsubscribe at any time by texting stop, quit, cancel, unsubscribe or end to 47979.
SXSW text messages have NO ADDITIONAL FEES attached. However, normal text-messaging rates apply, according to the mobile plan you have with your carrier.
Text message delivery times vary with wireless carrier and are affected by mobile network congestion.
