I had no idea...

By now its no secret that Dells 2005fpw and Apples 20-inch Cinema Display use the exact same LG.Philips LCD (literally, its part# LM201W01). Of course, that 100%+ price differential can be a bit hard to swallow with the Dell going for as little as $350 on sale, and the Apple only today cutting their prices on the screen to $800

Well, that means that I won't buy the Apple monitor. I was thinking about that, but since it's much more expensive (à la Apple) and albeit being very cute, I won't have any doubts about Dell.

Now the problem being: where the heck will I buy a Dell monitor in Portugal? Ideas are welcome.

Where did you do that? Through Dell UK?

It seems that Dell UK is charging much more then in the US ($350 vs £350). Any ideas why?

dell uk is charging £370, i believe. that's how british companies convert dollars to sterling, they change the symbol, the bastards.
i am in uk, though, don't know if dell uk ships to pt.

Dell Spain

Dell Spain seems fine: they are running a special discount that drop the price to 502€ (much more acceptable than those 370£).

But I think I'll wait a few more time and buy a 23" by then.
