McCain on marraige
16 May 2008 1:21pm GMT The three candidates have the same stance on marriage -- all three oppose same-sex marriage, but believe it should be left to the states. McCain, though, is the only one who's actively opposed a same-sex marriage ruling in his home state, and a reader forwards on one of the ads he cut in favor of Arizona's same-sex marriage ban. It features slightly off-kilter images of gay couples, and vertical images of straight couples. Arizona's ban was the first to lose at the polls.

Responding to Bush
16 May 2008 1:05pm GMT Susan Rice this morning indicates that Obama's going to blast away at Bush's "appeasement" line. He's got an event in South Dakota at 11:00 a.m. EST. The campaign also released a new conflict of interest policy barring such arrangements. Shirley, a conservative public relations veteran, doubled as a consultant to...

Obama to rally in Tampa
16 May 2008 12:48am GMT Obama's headed to Tampa the day after the Oregon and Kentucky primaries, for a big downtown rally, he emails supporters. It's the kickoff of a three-day visit; one question is whether he'll pull out an endorsement there to match the one he brought to Michigan, John Edwards.

Marriage statements
15 May 2008 9:22pm GMT Obama's the first one out with a statement on the California ruling striking down the state's gay-marriage ban. Barack Obama has always believed that same-sex couples should enjoy equal rights under the law, and he will continue to fight for civil unions as President. He respects the decision of the California Supreme Court, and continues to believe that states should make their own decisions when it comes to the issue of marriage. I'll add the others as they come in. McCain: "John McCain...
