30 Mar 2008 3:08pm GMT Linux 2.6.24-12-386 (which seems to be the default version in Hardy) does not boot my computer. However, Linux 2.6.24-12-generic works flawlessly even with madwifi and nvidia. The update process is painless, and my experience is that the system is faster and consumes less RAM. I installed also Firefox3 in the process, and I just can't believe firefox is able to run so fast.

30 Mar 2008 5:47am GMT Hardy is a party! My system has been working flawless since alpha4. I didn't even experience a problem that some testers did with the update on alpha 6 and libc6. The new features are awesome, WUBI is great, virtual manager is nice, though I still like virtualbox a bit better for now. The updated GNOME and the glassy look is nice. If the improvements keep coming every 6 months like they have been since WARTY, I'll bet by 10.04 Canonical will have a windows killer that every one will want!...

30 Mar 2008 2:50am GMT I had an issue with the beta until i got an update last night. Now, mostly everything is going ok. Had a problem with tracker today. It was taking up about a gig of ram. Maybe a rabid malloc! If I get time i will dig into it.
