22 Aug 2005 11:50pm GMT Agreed entirely. I have a gmail account that I use for a few things, but 99% of my mail goes through my home machine, which has unlimited (practically) storage, spam and virus scanning, filtering and IMAP support.

22 Aug 2005 11:50pm GMT I happen to really like gmail. I find it nice to have, speedy and convenient. I also have a serious appreciation for the minimalism. Running my own mailserver sounds really nice as it means learning a whole bunch of interesting things.
