18 Jan 2005 6:00am GMT I’ve been saying this for a while… The original migration of PCs was from corporate use then to the home. PCs only really overthrew Amiga’s and the like because they were used in a corporate environment and people wanted to work at home. I think that the same is likely to happen with Linux.

And I must point out that the Mini’s low cost and ability to replace an old tower and utilize the existing KMM, combined with M$ Office for the Mac, combined with Apple’s unlimited server licensing and UNIX networking and tools – all could spell trouble for M$ and Linux for the enterprise. As strange as it sounds (to me also), Apple could now be the home to truly disruptive technology.

18 Jan 2005 6:00am GMT Mac Mini… hmm… I choose a mountain bike upgrade over one of those… If only Linux had made headway in Newbury or with the NHS…
